About Us
Mission Statement
The Grand Blanc Newcomers Club (GBNC) is a social, civic, and
charitable organization for women and their families. GBNC was
established in 1960 to offer a warm welcome to people moving into the area
and to acquaint them with our community. Here we are, 47 years later and
still going strong!
Club Highlights
In addition to all of the great Activity and
Interest Group activities, here's a sampling of what GBNC members
have to look forward to this coming year...
- Monthly Luncheons
Our luncheons are usually on the second Wednesday of each
month from September through June. We dine at area restaurants and country clubs, and lunch is
often followed by a program or speaker. Childcare is available for children six months through
preschool. Details are provided in the monthly newsletters or on the
luncheon page.
Reservations may be made by phone.
May in Michigan... hopefully we'll be thawing out, shedding the winter
woolies, and looking for something new to wear. What a perfect time
for the Annual Fashion Show. Each year, with the help of local clothing retailers, our member-models hit the runway to show
you what's IN for the new season.
- Annual Fundraiser
- November brings our Annual Newcomers Auction. This is our main
fundraiser for the year, and it's always a lot of fun. Local businesses and
GBNC members donate items for this event. You're sure to find
something you just can't live without or perhaps get a little early
holiday shopping done.
- Social Events
Each year brings something different and a few returning favorites.
This year's schedule may include some of the following:
- Autumn Hayride & Bonfire
- Grand Blanc Road Rally
- Halloween Party
- Santa Breakfast
- Couples Bowling Social
- Dinner Dance
- Easter Egg Hunt
- Dinner Theater
- Family BBQ Picnic
- Girl's Day at the Spa
We're always on the lookout for new and exciting ideas. If you
have an idea or would like to coordinate a social, just talk to one of our
Board members. Keep your eyes open for upcoming
events in your newsletter or check for information on our
events page.
