Significant changes brought by Symbian Elle is done to repair the homescreen interface. Belle in Symbian homescreen now consists of six panels with five different sizes. Widget can be resized, which gives you flexibility.
In addition to the main menu page is now flat, so it can roll vertically and all the application shortcuts placed on the same screen there is no folder anymore.
Another big change is the pull down menu for the notification of the screen of the application being run. We’re guessing that Nokia has decided to copy the Android notification area much like Apple and Samsung. This menu will also offer off to control the mobile data, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Silent mode
