Change the Size of the Type

You can increase or decrease the size of the type on the Grand Blanc Newcomers website.

1. In Internet Explorer, go to View and select Text Size to choose the size you prefer.

2. In Netscape, go to View and select Increase Font or Decrease Font.

3. For America Online, use keyword accessibility, choose Accessibility Help, choose Vision and then click on the link to Members Who Have Low Vision for detailed instructions on changing type sizes.

If you're viewing the site on a small screen, make the type size smaller to minimize scrolling from side to side.

Use the Site without a Mouse

It's easy to navigate this site by using just a keyboard.  Website functions, even the highlighting of hyperlinks*, do not rely on using a mouse alone.

1. Press the Tab key to move from link to link on all pages and throughout the Contact form.  Press enter if you want to follow a link.

2. At any time, you can jump to the top of a page and the main navigation bar by entering the Alt and the letter n keys at the same time if you're in Windows.  In Macintosh, enter Ctrl and the letter n keys.  In the Opera browser, enter the Shift , Esc and letter n keys together. This keyboard shortcut is even better than using the Home key if you're tabbing through links. Try it!*

3. Use the up, down, left and right arrow keys to scroll the screen.

(*This feature is supported in the newest versions of Internet Explorer, Netscape and Opera.)

Improve Picture Clarity in America Online

By default, America Online compresses pictures on other websites.  To remedy this, follow these steps:

1. In American Online, select the Settings tab, choose Preferences and then click on Internet Properties.

2. Click on the Web Graphics tab, select Never Compress Graphics and click OK.
